The only advice I can give is to try driving on the wrong side of the road. Vans will still magically pop-in RIGHT in front of you, but at least that way you'll mostly be dealing with one or two at a time. That's how I finally managed to complete hard heli assault. This time it took about five tries, but I can't believe it - I finished that terrible Escort activity! It was really pure luck more than anything else. I think that's what a victory in Escort relies on. When I saw at least two pop up on the radar, I immediately cut to a side street or alleyway. However, this actually prevented the news vans from dogpiling on me. I also used air jumps over hills to get the vans as far behind me as possible.

I also used aureliano17's advice and drove in the wrong lanes. Thanks a bunch! When "Drop the client off" popped up on the screen with only half the footage meter full, my heart almost stopped. But this was a well-earned victory after many failures. Every other time I either wrecked the car or restarted the activity in frustration. The only hard thing left on my list right now Oh, God. The tanks in this game are terrible. Take the vehicles, move a bit, use police forgiveness.
